The Utah Jazz are finalizing hiring former NBA player Jason Terry as an assistant for new head coach Will Hardy's staff, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Hardy was hired as a replacement to Quin Snyder, who stepped down as head coach on June 5.

Terry, who was known as "The Jet" during his playing days, was previously coaching the NBA G League's Grand Rapids Gold.

The 2011 NBA champion played 19 seasons in the league as a member of six different franchises, averaging 13.8 points and a 38 per cent clip from three-point range.
