The Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves have swapped a few depth shooting guards.
The Jazz dealt Cody Williams and John Konchar to the Timberwolves for Josh Green, ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Saturday.
The Timberwolves will keep Williams, but will waive-and-stretch Konchar, Charania added.
Williams, 21, is the younger brother of former All-NBA wing and NBA champion Jalen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The No. 10 pick in 2024, Cody Williams averaged 8.8 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists over 67 games with the Jazz last season, 41 of them starts.
Konchar, 30, scored 4.4 points to go along with 4.3 boards and 2.1 assists over 56 games split between the Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies after being included as part of the Jaren Jackson Jr. trade at the deadline
Green was a rotation player for the 2023-24 Dallas Mavericks team that made the NBA Finals. But his production dwindled to only 4.3 points per game this past season, the lowest since his rookie campaign.
The trade follows the Timberwolves' reported signing of Jonathan Kuminga to a two-year, $13 million deal on Wednesday. With the move, Minnesota saves $2.5 million and can sign Kuminga while staying under the second apron.
