A reported deal between Jeremy Lin and the Golden State Warriors appears to be further from completion than initially thought.

Shortly after Shams Charania of The Athletic broke news that the Warriors were finalizing a contract with Lin, Lin himself addressed the possibility on Twitter.

"Whoa...everybody chill... this isn't what it looks like," Lin wrote. "No decisions have been made."

If Lin decides to sign, the deal would be made pending a letter of clearance from the Chinese Basketball Association, where he played last season, as Charania reported.

Lin last played in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors during the 2018-19 season, averaging seven points and 2.2 assists in 23 regular-season games. He also featured in eight post-season games as the Raptors went on to capture the franchise's first NBA title.
