The Los Angeles Clippers lost another key player on Wednesday.
One day after the news of the reported trade of Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors, John Collins agreed to a three-year, $51-million contract with the Detroit Pistons, ESPN's Shams Charania reported.
The six-foot-nine forward averaged 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 55.2 per cent from the field last season for the Clippers.
The Clippers acquired Collins last July in a three-team trade with the Utah Jazz and Miami Heat.
In his nine-season career with the Clippers, Jazz and Atlanta Hawks, Collins has averaged 15.7 points and 7.7 rebounds.
He joins a Pistons team that finished first in the Eastern Conference standings last season before losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs.
