Kevin Durant's next chapter is getting closer by the day.
The Suns superstar forward reportedly has shared his list of preferred trade destinations for his imminent move out of Phoenix, headlined by the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
According to Charania, other teams around the league inquiring about Durant have been made aware that those are the three teams the 15-time All-Star would commit to long-term.
However, he added that the Suns have informed the six to eight seriously interested franchises that they still intend to make the best move for the franchise, not necessarily solely based on Durant's preferences.
Durant, 36, is in the final year of a four-year, $194-million contract and will be on the books for $54.7 million in the 2025-26 season before hitting free agency next summer.
Charania reported earlier this week that Durant was exploring trade offers alongside business partner Rich Kleiman, and that he and the team would work together on a deal.
Other teams have also made inquiries on Durant, who was in trade discussions around February's deadline when he reportedly rejected a move back to the Golden State Warriors.
Talks now are expected to escalate in advance of the June 25 NBA Draft.
Durant averaged 26.6 points, six rebounds and 4.2 assists in 62 games last season, but the Suns finished 36-46 and missed the post-season.
