Khris Middleton is headed back to Washington.
The veteran forward agreed to a three-year, $17.6-million deal with the Wizards via sign-and-trade, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Tuesday.
The Dallas Mavericks are sending Middleton to the Wizards as part of a larger six-team deal that includes the Mavericks, Wizards, Clippers, Pistons, Bucks and Grizzlies, Charania added.
As part of the six-team trade, Charania reported that the Wizards will send D'Angelo Russell, a future second-round pick and a future second-round pick swap to the Grizzlies.
Middleton, 34, started last season with the Wizards before he was acquired by the Mavericks in the trade that sent Anthony Davis to Washington.
Over 63 games with Dallas and Washington last season, Middleton averaged 10.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
Middleton is mostly known for his time with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he spent nearly 12 seasons. He was a three-time all-star with the Bucks and helped the team win an NBA title in 2019.
Now, Middleton will provide a veteran presence on a new-look Wizards team that includes Davis, Trae Young and 2026 No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybansta.
