New York Knicks forward Obi Toppin will miss at least two weeks due to a right-knee injury suffered against the Atlanta Hawks, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday.
The third-year power forward exited Wednesday's game with right-knee soreness. On Thursday, it was reported that he had been diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture in his right fibula after undergoing an MRI.
He is set to be re-evaluated by doctors in 2-3 weeks, but could remain on the Knicks' injury report for a longer period of time.
Toppin is averaging 7.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game and is scoring from long range at a career-best 35.1 per cent.
The Knicks don't have an abundance of depth at the power forward position behind starter Julius Randle and the now-injured Toppin. Slotting in to replace the former lottery pick could be Cam Reddish or one of their big men, Isaiah Hartenstein or Jericho Sims.
