The Los Angeles Lakers are getting a big infusion of talent just in time for their first-round close-out game.
Guard Austin Reaves has been cleared to return from an oblique injury for Game 5 against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, the team announced before tip-off.
Reaves has been out since suffering the injury in early April but was upgraded to questionable ahead of Game 3.
Reaves began his return-to-play program last Tuesday, Lakers coach JJ Redick said, but was ruled out of the team's previous two games.
He averaged a career-best 23.3 points during the regular season, to go along with 4.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists.
The Lakers will still be without superstar guard Luka Doncic, who has been out since suffering a hamstring injury on April 2, the same game Reaves went down.
The Lakers are up 3-1 against the Rockets as the series shifts back to Los Angeles.
