Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James is reportedly targeting his return from an ankle injury Tuesday versus the New York Knicks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

If James is unable to play Tuesday, he'll aim to be back Wednesday versus the Houston Rockets. He has missed the Lakers' last four games, and a total of 25 this season. Los Angeles went 2-2 over the four games that the four-time MVP was absent from the lineup.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports James has had two “really good days of workouts at a high level” and feels “great.”

The 36-year-old is averaging 25 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.8 assists in his 18th NBA season.

The defending NBA Champions are currently the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference with a 38-30 record.
