Another day, another Anthony Davis injury.
The Dallas Mavericks star sustained a minor groin strain on Christmas Day and is expected to miss a few games, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Davis exited the Dec. 25 loss to the Golden State Warriors in the second quarter when he went down with the injury.
The former first-overall pick is expected to be a significant trade target, so the Mavericks will evaluate him daily and take a cautious approach with his recovery.
Davis previously missed 16 games this season with a calf injury.
He's averaging 20.5 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists through 16 games played this campaign.
