The Dallas Mavericks are nearing an agreement on a four-year, $52-million deal with Dorian Finney-Smith, according to independent NBA insider Marc Stein.
Finney-Smith is averaging a career-high 10.2 points per game this season and shooting 36.3 per cent from three-point range while providing solid defence. He's currently in the final year of a three-year, $12-million deal.
The 28-year-old forward has played his entire six-year career in Dallas.
The reported signing comes after Mavericks traded forward/centre Kristaps Porzingis to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans at the NBA trade deadline.
