Report: Mavericks hiring Kristi Toliver as assistant coach

The Dallas Mavericks are hiring Kristi Toliver to be an assistant coach, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Toliver is a two-time WNBA champion, winning in 2016 with the Los Angeles Sparks and 2019 with the Washington Mystics. She is currently playing with the Sparks this season.

Toliver comes to this position with NBA coaching experience; she was an assistant coach with the Washington Wizards for parts of two seasons, starting in October of 2018.

Drafted in 2009, Toliver is a three-time WNBA All-Star and two-time EuroLeague champion. Spending 11 years in the WNBA, Toliver has played 354 games, averaging 12.2 points per game and shooting 44.5 per cent from the floor.
