Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr., is set to undergo surgery on his lower back and will be out indefinitely, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Porter's agent, Mark Bartelstein, says he's expected to make a full recovery and a timetable on his return will come after surgery.

This will be Porter's third back surgery dating back to college. He underwent a surgical procedure that kept him out for his entire rookie NBA season.

The Nuggets have already lost Jamal Murray and P.J. Dozier -- both due to a torn ACL -- in addition to Nikola Jokic being sidelined with a wrist injury for the past week.

Porter, 23, is averaging 9.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 29.4 minutes per game across nine appearances this season.
