The NBA is targeting a Dec. 11 start date for the 2020-21 pre-season, according to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania.
The pre-season would run until Dec. 19 and each team would be able to request three or four games. Each team must play at least one of its exhibition games at home, per Charania.
Earlier this week, the NBA and its players agreed to open the 72-game regular season on Dec. 22. Training camps are scheduled to begin on Dec. 1.
Schedules for each team, in addition to a number of other logistical details, are still to be determined.
