Report: NBA tentatively set to play five games on Christmas Day

The NBA will tentatively play five games on Christmas Day, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The schedule breaks down as follows:

New Orleans Pelicans @ Miami Heat (12:00 p.m. ET)
Golden State Warriors @ Milwaukee Bucks (2:30 p.m. ET)
Brooklyn Nets @ Boston Celtics (5:00 p.m. ET)
Dallas Mavericks @ Los Angeles Lakers (8:00 p.m. ET)
Los Angeles Clippers @ Denver Nuggets (10:30 p.m. ET)

The marquee slate of games brings some normalcy to a 2020-21 season that is sure to face some challenges as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

Individual player workouts began Tuesday while NBA teams' group workouts are scheduled to commence on Sunday. Each franchise will participate in a shortened pre-season that begins on Dec. 11.

The regular season tips off on Dec. 22.
