Tyrese Haliburton's comeback season has hit a speed bump.
The Indiana Pacers' star point guard is set to miss some time after suffering a left hamstring strain, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle confirmed to reporters on Wednesday.
Carlisle described the strain as "mild," told reporters that Haliburton is week-to-week and said to ask for updates on his status in two weeks, stating that it isn't realistic that he will play before then.
It's unclear how Haliburton suffered the hamstring injury, but he played 34 minutes in Monday's 110-102 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Haliburton, 26, has suited up in all four of the Pacers' games this season. He missed the entire 2025-26 season while recovering from a torn Achilles suffered in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He hasn't missed a beat since lacing back up, having averaged a career-high 21.8 points and 4.5 rebounds along with 9.5 assists and 1.3 steals. He's shooting 51.6 per cent from the field and 37 per cent from three-point range while playing 33 minutes a night.
The Pacers have gotten off to a middling start this year and sit at 2-2 heading into Wednesday night's action. Without Haliburton last year, Indiana finished 14th in the Eastern Conference with a 19-63 record.
