Free-agent big man Paul Millsap has agreed to a one-year, $10 million-plus deal to return to the Denver Nuggets, according to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania.
The 35-year-old has spent his last three seasons on the Nuggets, and while he didn’t have the best season of his career in 2019-20, he did have his moments in the playoffs, particularly against the Los Angeles Clippers. Keeping him on another season provides depth in the front court, as well as veteran experience for a still-young roster.
Millsap averaged 11.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists on 48.2 per cent shooting through 51 regular-season games for Denver last season.
