The Detroit Pistons are reportedly likely to waive point guard Kemba Walker, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania and James L. Edwards III.
Walker has not participated in training camp or the pre-season with the club.
Should the four-time all-star land with a new team for the 2022-23 campaign, it'll be Walker's sixth different franchise in five seasons.
The 32-year-old Walker spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Charlotte Hornets, who drafted the UConn star ninth overall in 2011. He joined the Boston Celtics in a sign-and-trade deal in 2019 and was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder just two years later.
Walker never played for the Thunder and agreed to a contract buyout before signing with the New York Knicks in June 2021.
He averaged a career-low 11.6 points over 37 games with the Knicks last season and was traded to Detroit on July 6 along with the draft rights to Jalen Duren for a future first-round pick.
