The Detroit Pistons are set to waive Canadian guard Cory Joseph, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Joseph averaged 8.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists on 46.9 per cent shooting in 63 games between the Sacramento Kings and Pistons last season.

The 29-year-old from Pickering, Ont., was set to hit unrestricted free agency after next season.
