Toronto Raptors centre Aron Baynes is reportedly out for the rest of the Tokyo Olympics after suffering a neck injury while representing Australia, according to ESPN‘s Olgun Uluc.
The injury reportedly occurred off the court during the second half of a Boomers 86-83 win against Italy on Wednesday.
Baynes produced 14 points shooting 6-for-11 from the field and seven rebounds in 14 minutes before exiting the game.
The 34-year-old, who averaged 6.1 points and 5.2 rebounds last season, is entering the final year of a two-year, $14.35 million deal he signed with the Raptors last off-season.
