Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will be available for the team’s series opener against the Boston Celtics, the team announced Sunday.
Raptors coach Nick Nurse says Lowry won’t have a minutes restriction, but that decision remains fluid.
Lowry suffered an ankle sprain in Game 4 of the Raptors’ first-round series with the Brooklyn Nets. He practised with the Raptors Saturday and “looked okay” to head coach Nick Nurse.
The 34-year-old averaged 19.4 points, a team-high 7.5 assists and five rebounds through 58 games with Toronto this season. Through the first round of the playoffs, the six-time all-star posted averages of 12.5 points, 4.8 assists and 7.0 rebounds and scored in double figures three times, including 21 points in Game 2 of the opening-round series.
