San Antonio Spurs' Devin Vassell will make his debut on Saturday against the Utah Jazz, Shams Charania of ESPN reported on Friday, after missing the first nine games of the season with an ankle injury.
The six-foot-seven wing finished second on the Spurs in scoring last season with 19.5 points per game on 57.8 per cent true shooting. He added 4.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds and shot 37.2 per cent from three-point range on 6.6 attempts per game.
This is the first year of Vassell's five-year $135-million contract extension that locks him in as a key building block alongside budding superstar Victor Wembanyama.
The seven-foot-four Frenchman has been off to slow start, averaging fewer points and fewer rebounds than he did during his 2024 Rookie of the Year season.
