Toronto Raptors star forward Pascal Siakam will remain sidelined through the NBA All-Star break due to the league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The absence means Siakam will miss the Raptors’ upcoming games vs. Chicago, Detroit and Boston over the next week. The 26-year-old was forced to sit out of the team’s victory against the Houston Rockets along with head coach Nick Nurse and five other members of the coaching staff.
Siakam is averaging 20.1 points on .453 shooting, 7.5 boards and 4.8 assists over 35.8 minutes through 30 games this season. Chris Boucher drew into the starting lineup in Siakam’s absence while DeAndre’ Bembry also saw an increase in playing time.
