A new team has moved to the front of the line for Day 2 of the 2025 NBA Draft.
The Phoenix Suns will reportedly begin Thursday's second round after acquiring pick No. 31 from the Minnesota Timberwolves, per Shams Charania of ESPN.
Phoenix is also acquiring two future second-round picks. In exchange, Minnesota will receive the 36th pick in this year's draft..
After trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets on June 22, the Suns drafted Duke centre Khaman Maluach with the No. 10 pick via the Rockets.
Last season, the team finished 36-46 and missed the post-season for the first time in five years despite having the highest payroll in the league.
