The Phoenix Suns will be without guard Jalen Green for at least the next month after he suffered a right hamstring strain, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Tuesday.
Green will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks.
The 22-year-old was forced to leave in the first quarter of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He needed to be helped off the court by the training staff.
Green, acquired by the Suns in an off-season trade with Houston for Kevin Durant, has played in just two games this season, averaging 15.5 points, two rebounds and two assists per game.
He missed the first eight games with the same hamstring injury that he appears to have re-aggravated.
For his career, the 2021 second overall pick has put up 20.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
