Nick Nurse and Doc Rivers are among the candidates who the Phoenix Suns plan to interview for their head coaching position, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
The Suns also plan to interview Sacramento Kings associate head coach Jordi Fernandez and their own associate head coach Kevin Young in the coming days, Wojnarowski adds.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that former Lakers head coach Frank Vogel is also a finalist. Charania adds that the five finalists will meet with owner Mat Isiba and others in Michigan this week.
The Suns fired Monty Williams after they were eliminated by the Lakers in the second round of the playoffs.
Nurse was fired by the Raptors after the team lost in the play-in round to the Chicago Bulls. He is also reportedly a finalist for the Milwaukee Bucks' opening and was reportedly set to meet with the 76ers about their head coaching position.
Rivers was let go by the 76ers after failing to advance past the second round for the third consecutive season.
Fernandez began his coaching career in 2009 with the Cavaliers and was part of Cleveland's coaching staff when they won the championship in 2016. He also has experience working with the Nuggets before joining the Kings in 2022.
Young has coaching and scouting experience from working with the 76ers. He joined the Suns in 2020.
