The Minnesota Timberwolves are bringing back a former Wooden Award winner to bolster their frontcourt.
Minnesota has re-signed centre Luka Garza on a two-year deal, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday.
The financial terms were not reported.
Garza, 25, won the Wooden Award as the best player in college basketball in the 2020-21 season while playing with the Iowa Hawkeyes.
He averaged 4.0 points and 1.2 rebounds in 25 appearances for the Timberwolves last season.
However, he demolished in the G League, averaging 36.7 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in three games with the Iowa Wolves last year.
