The defending champion Golden State Warriors could get a boost this week when All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins returns to the team, according to a report by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wiggins, from Thornhill, Ont., has not played since Feb. 13, but is expected to return "early this week," according to Wojnarowski.
Wiggins has been working out on his own every day, but has not played because of an unspecified family matter.
The 28-year-old has averaged 17.1 points, five rebounds, and 2.3 assists this season, in 32.2 minutes per game.
The Warriors (41-38) are in sixth place in the Western Conference. They play Tuesday against Oklahoma and Friday against Sacramento.
