The Golden State Warriors will be without Steph Curry for at least one more week.
Curry will have his knee injury re-examined next week as he works his way back to game action, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Friday.
The 38-year-old last played Jan. 30 and has been sidelined with patella-femoral pain syndrome and bone bruising in his right knee.
By missing another week, Curry will miss at least 25 straight games.
Curry is averaging a team-best 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals through his 39 appearances in 2025-26.
As for the Warriors, Curry's absence is one of two major injuries the team has had to manage after losing Jimmy Butler III for the season due to a torn right ACL. Golden State also saw Moses Moody suffer a season-ending knee injury in Monday's victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
Curry's younger brother, Seth, is still sidelined by a strained left inner thigh muscle. He has resumed scrimmaging and was listed as day-to-day.
Center Quinten Post is also day to day with right foot soreness.
Fellow big man Al Horford sat out his eighth consecutive game because of a strained muscle in his right calf but has started on-court workouts and will be re-examined in a week.
The Warriors enter Friday's game against the Washington Wizards 10th in the Western Conference with a 35-38 record. The 11th-placed New Orleans Pelicans have already been eliminated from playoff contention, guaranteeing the Warriors a spot in the NBA's Play-In Tournament.
“We’re not chasing a play-in berth. We are squarely in the play-in no matter what we do,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said earlier this week. “Bottom line, if Steph is healthy, he’s going to play because that’s what we’re here for. The chance to get into the playoffs is a big deal for us, big deal for Steph.”
