Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson is feared to have suffered a significant Achilles injury and he is scheduled to have an MRI on Thursday morning, according to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

Earlier Wednesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported the 30-year-old shooting guard hurt his right leg during a workout in Southern California.

Thompson -- a five-time all-star and three-time NBA champion -- missed the entire 2019-20 season with a torn ACL in his left knee suffered during the 2019-19 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Prior to his injury that season, Thompson -- half of the Warriors' "Splash Brothers" with Steph Curry -- averaged 34 minutes, 21.5 points and a 46.7 field goal percentage.
