The Washington Wizards will get a big boost to the lineup in an important final game against the Charlotte Hornets as star guard Bradley Beal will return to the lineup, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Beal missed three games with a hamstring strain. Through 59 games this season, he is averaging a career-high 31.4 points, which is less than one full point behind Steph Curry for the league lead.
The Wizards, Hornets and Pacers all enter play Sunday tied with identical 33-38 records. All three -- along with the seventh-seeded Boston Celtics -- will compete in the new play-in tournament but the winner of Sunday's Wizards-Hornets game could potentially have a clearer path to the playoffs as the eighth seed. Both Charlotte and Washington hold a tiebreaker over the Pacers, who face the Raptors on Sunday.
