Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal risks not being able to play in the Tokyo Olympics as he has entered health and safety protocols at Team USA’s camp, according to multiple reports.
Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press highlights that there is nothing definitive at this time with regards to Beal’s participation.
The Games are set to start on July 23. Japan’s safety protocols for the Olympics include the provision that all athletes and coaches must test negative for COVID-19 72 hours before their departure to the country and take another test when they arrive.
Beal averaged 31.3 points, 4.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds on 48.5 per cent shooting last regular season, earning an all-star nod in the process.
