Tyler Herro will remain sidelined for the near future.
An MRI on the Miami Heat guard revealed a costochondral issue with ribs that will keep him out indefinitely, according to multiple reports on Monday.
The issue is typically a matter of pain tolerance, but it can become very painful. The length of Herro's absence is unknown, but he's not expected to join the Heat on their upcoming five-game road trip.
Herro already missed the Heat's 122-120 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday. He's battled several injuries all season, appearing in just 11 games.
The 25-year-old is averaging 21.9 points, 2.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds this campaign.
