Portland Trail Blazers rookie guard Scoot Henderson was forced to cut his Summer League debut short after suffering a shoulder injury in the third quarter against the Houston Rockets.
Off to a strong start, Henderson finished with a final stat-line of 15 points on 5-for-13 from the field, five rebounds and six assists in 21 minutes.
According to Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes, the 19-year-old will undergo an MRI on the shoulder and there's optimism around the team that the guard may have avoided a dislocation.
He was facing off against fourth-overall pick Amen Thompson as both high lottery players made their debuts in the Summer League.
Henderson was drafted third overall by Portland after a strong showing with the G League Ignite, averaging 16.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists.
