Pascal Siakam is available to make his Indiana Pacers debut Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers after his name was taken off the team's injury report
Siakam, a fan favourite from his time in Toronto, will suit up for the first time in unfamiliar colours.
Fans in Canada can watch the game on Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet+ at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT.
In a blockbuster move, Siakam was traded to the Pacers on Wednesday in a deal that sent Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, Kira Lewis Jr. and three first-round picks to the Raptors.
He was unavailable to play against the Sacramento Kings in the first leg of a back-to-back on Thursday.
The Pacers will also get superstar guard Tyrese Haliburton back from a hamstring injury for the game. Haliburton suffered the injury during a Jan. 8 game against the Celtics.
The Pacers will be without Aaron Nesmith, Isaiah Jackson and Andrew Nembhard for the game. Indiana has a 24-17 record, good for seventh in the Eastern Conference and should benefit from bringing in Siakam's two-way prowess.
The two-time all-NBA forward has averaged 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 39 games with Toronto this season while hitting 52.2 per cent of his shots from the field.
