Timberwolves' D'Angelo Russell to return vs. Kings after 26-game absence

Minnesota Timberwolves point guard D'Angelo Russell is set to return on Monday night against the Sacramento Kings after missing 26 games due to a knee procedure.

Russell, 25, was acquired by the Minnesota Timberwolves from the Golden State Warriors in February 2020. He averaged 19.3 points and 5.1 assists on .426/.399/.750 shooting in 20 games this season before undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery on Feb. 17.

Minnesota currently sits at the bottom of the NBA standings with a 12-38 record.
