Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum diagnosed with collapsed right lung

Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum has been diagnosed with pneumothorax (collapsed right lung) and will be further evaluated, the team announced on Tuesday.

McCollum exited the Trail Blazers game against the Boston Celtics in the fourth quarter on Dec. 4.

There is no word on the length of time McCollum will be out for. Once he is re-evaluated, an update on his prognosis will be provided.

During the 2021-22 NBA season, McCollum is averaging 20.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 24 games.
