Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard underwent surgery Thursday morning to repair a core injury causing chronic abdominal pain, the team announced, and will be re-evaluated in six weeks.

Lillard reportedly “feels good,” according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

The Blazers' star last played on Dec. 31 in a 139-106 loss to the Lakers. He has averaged 24 points, 7.3 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 29 games this season.

Fellow Portland guard CJ McCollum is out out indefinitely too after sustaining a collapsed lung.

The Trail Blazers are in 10th place in the Western Conference with a 16-24 record. They start a six-game road trip Thursday night as they head to Denver to take on the Nuggets (20-19).
