Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet has been downgraded to out for personal reasons for Saturday's afternoon game against the Detroit Pistons.
VanVleet was a late scratch on Thursday against the New Orleans Pelicans. The reason for his status wasn't reported.
The game against the Pistons is the first leg of a back-to-back, with the Raptors set to travel to Cleveland after for a 6:00 p.m. game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. VanVleet's status for that game is also uncertain.
VanVleet has averaged 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.6 assists so far this season.
Rookie Ron Harper Jr. and sophomore Dalano Banton are with the Raptors 905 and won't be with the team in Detroit.
Centre Jalen Duren is out for the Pistons with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Marvin Bagley is set to make his return after missing the last 20 games for Detroit.
Watch the Raptors when they visit the Pistons live starting at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT on Sportsnet ONE or SN NOW.
