The Golden State Warriors and Klay Thompson are targeting a January return to play for the 31-year-old shooting guard, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday.
The team and Thompson are targeting a home game with key dates including Jan. 9 vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers and Jan. 18 vs. the Detroit Pistons, while Jan. 3 vs. the Miami Heat has not been ruled out, but is considered less likely, Wojnarowski reports.
Thompson suffered a right achilles tear during a workout in November of last year, he has not been on the court in NBA action since Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.
