Wednesday night’s matchup between the Washington Wizards and the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena has been postponed, the NBA announced via Twitter.
The Pistons intended to return to Detroit following their loss to the Mavericks on Monday night but severe ice conditions in the Dallas-Fort Worth area have forced the cancellation of thousands of flights.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pistons won’t be allowed to fly home until Thursday.
The NBA is yet to announce a rescheduled date.
Wojnarowski also reported that the league is in communication with the New Orleans Pelicans, who are supposed to arrive in Dallas on Wednesday for their game the following day.
