Lakers’ LeBron James leaves game vs. Raptors with right ankle soreness

LeBron James doesn't mince words about how he feels about the play-in tournament and if the Lakers would have to play in it if they fall in the standings.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James left Sunday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors and did not return because of right ankle soreness.

James, who just returned from a 20-game absence earlier last week due to a high right ankle sprain, checked out midway through the fourth quarter and did not return for the remainder of the game, which the Lakers went on to lose 121-114.

The Lakers will face the Denver Nuggets on Monday night in the second game of a back-to-back, leaving James’ status in the air for that matchup.
