Brooklyn Nets wing Spencer Dinwiddie has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets due to a right knee strain.
The incident happened in the third quarter, when Dinwiddie awkwardly planted his right knee and requested to be subbed out of the game. He was able to walk to the bench under his own power.
Dinwiddie, a staple coming off the bench for the Nets this season, is a significant part of what makes them one of the deeper teams in the league as a starter-quality wing. With Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving back healthy and playing like themselves, Brooklyn has roared to a 2–0 start to the new campaign.
In that time, Dinwiddie has averaged 7.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
