‘Oh my goodness’: Basketball world reacts to Raptors-Knicks blockbuster

Well, there it is.

Amidst a disappointing season that’s seen the Toronto Raptors find a home in the NBA’s mushy middle, they’ve made their first shake-up by sending OG Anunoby and Precious Achiuwa to the New York Knicks in exchange for Canadian RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and 2024 second-round pick.

Will this be the last move the Raptors make? Impossible to say.

But the homecoming of Mississauga, Ont.-born Barrett, who grew up cheering for the Raptors, and the prospect of a dynamic duo between Quickley and Scottie Barnes have given fans renewed excitement about what the remainder of the season may have in store.
