Toronto Raptors star forward Pascal Siakam is not expected to play Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers as he continues to work back from off-season shoulder surgery.
Head coach Nick Nurse told reporters after Wednesday’s 104-88 loss to the Boston Celtics that he doesn’t expect Siakam to play in the second game of a back-to-back.
Siakam had eight points and seven rebounds in 30 minutes of play Wednesday, after scoring 15 points in 25 minutes in his season debut on Sunday.
The 76ers will be without a star of their own Thursday as centre Joel Embiid is in health and safety protocols and not expected to be available.
