The Toronto Raptors will be without Gary Trent Jr. against the Detroit Pistons as he continues to deal with an ankle injury.
Rookie Scottie Barnes will make his return to the lineup after being questionable.
The pair sat out on Tuesday during a 99-95 loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Trent Jr. (ankle) and Barnes (knee) are Toronto’s fourth- and fifth-most productive scorers, with 16.4 and 14.7 points per game respectively. Barnes is second on the team in rebounds per game, averaging eight, while Trent Jr. is fourth in the NBA in steals per game (1.9).
The Raptors have a 20-18 record, going 7-3 over their past ten. They sit eighth in the East ahead of Friday’s game against the Pistons (9-31).
