The Los Angeles Lakers have claimed guard Avery Bradley off waivers, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Bradley was cut from the Golden State Warriors’ roster on Sunday.

The 11-year NBA veteran won a championship with the Lakers in 2019-20, and returns to Los Angeles to fill their final roster spot for the upcoming season.

Last season, the 30-year-old averaged 6.4 points per game in 27 appearances split between the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets.

Known for his perimeter defence, Bradley played a central role with some competitive Boston Celtics teams for several seasons between 2021-11 and 2016-17.
