Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James is taking one more day to rest his injured right ankle and targeting a return Wednesday vs. the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski.
James was reportedly previously planning to return Tuesday against the New York Knicks.
James has missed the Lakers’ last four games, and a total of 25 this season. The Lakers went 2-2 with the four-time MVP out of their lineup.
In his 18th NBA season, the 36-year-old is averaging 25 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.8 assists.
The defending NBA champions are currently the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference with a 38-30 record.
