Report: NBA, NBPA negotiating potential Nov. 18 draft date

NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum gets ready to announce the order of the picks.

The NBA and NBPA are negotiating a potential revised 2020 NBA Draft date of Nov. 18, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The league had previously been targetting Oct. 16, but, according to Wojnarowski, a memo to teams Wednesday explains that pushing it back would allow for a pre-draft prep and a combine, as well as more time to get information for a start date on the 2021 season and talks with the NBPA on CBA issues.

The NBA plans to discuss the date further with its board of governors and general managers in meetings this week.
