Reports: Lakers’ James, Davis look to return Friday vs. Pelicans

Los Angeles Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis both hope to return from the injured list Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Shams Charania report.

James has been sidelined with an ankle sprain this week.

The 37-year-old leads the league in scoring this season, averaging 30.1 points.

Davis has been out since Feb. 14 with a foot sprain.

Davis is averaging 23.1 points and 9.7 rebounds this season.

The Lakers are 10th in the Western Conference, holding down the final spot in the play-in tournament.

New Orleans is ninth, 1.5 games up on L.A.
